You can help fill the Food Bank's shelves for the spring and summer months by holding a food and/or funds drive during Harvest for Hunger!
Harvest for Hunger is a food and funds drive that takes place in March and April to help stock the Food Bank shelves for the spring and summer months when donations taper off. Harvest for Hunger takes place in 21 counties of northeast Ohio and benefits three additional Feeding America food banks – Greater Cleveland Food Bank, Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank and Second Harvest Food Bank of North Central Ohio. Harvest for Hunger 2017 media sponsors are 21 WFMJ & WBCB, The Vindicator, and Cumulus radio stations Y-103, HOT101, Rock 104 and K-105.
All food collected and funds raised in Columbiana, Mahoning and Trumbull counties remain in our community to feed our friends and neighbors.
If you are not able to hold a food and/or funds drive, you can still participate by checking out hunger! Tear off a $1, $5, or $10 coupon in the checkout lane at:
- Supermarket Sponsor Giant Eagle stores: March 5-April 15
- Sparkle Markets: March 5-April 30
Giant Eagle and Sparkle Markets will also be accepting non-perishable food items during the above dates.
