Channel 21 WFMJ spotlights the Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley's BackPack Program. The BackPack Program is a national program of Feeding America that is designed to meet the needs of hungry children at times when other resources are not available, such as weekends and school vacations. Backpacks are filled with child-friendly, non-perishable, easily-consumed, and vitamin-fortified food.
