Fourth Annual Canfield Jr. Fair Livestock Project To Help Feed Hungry Families

Join us at the Canfield Fair Livestock Auction/Sale in the 4-H Coliseum, Building # 8 where you or your company or organization may purchase livestock to donate to Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley for distribution to hungry families in Mahoning, Columbiana and Trumbull counties. The Fourth Annual Canfield Jr. Fair Livestock Project will be presented by The Mahoning County Farm Bureau, Mahoning County Livestock Committee, and Canfield Senior Fair Board. 

Auction / Sale Thursday, August 30
5:30 p.m. – Market Poultry -- Broilers and Turkeys
7:00 p.m. – *Market Lambs, *Carcass Lambs & *Market Hogs

Auction/ Sale Friday, August 31
5:30 p.m.  – Goat Milk Fudge, Market Rabbits, *Market Goats
7:00 p.m. – *Market Beef, Market Feeders

*Livestock available to purchase for donation to the Food Bank include market beef, hogs, goats and lambs only.

Livestock purchased to be donated to the Food Bank will be processed by Chamberlain Farms.  Processing fees will be added to the purchase price (Market Beef will be $0.35; Hogs will be $0.50; Lambs and Goats will be $1.20) per pound. MasterCard, Visa, personal check and cash will be accepted.  All donations are tax deductible as allowed by law.

The Food Bank's mission is to solicit, store, and distribute food to hunger-relief organizations in Columbiana, Mahoning, and Trumbull counties; and to provide education and advocacy. We believe that no one should go hungry, and we are dedicated to building a community that makes food accessible to all people.
