Charter One Kicks Off the Holiday Season with More Than 8,000 Meals for Local Families

The fight against hunger in the Mahoning Valley continues as many families struggle to make ends meet.

Halloween provided area children with many treats but this week on Thursday, more than 8,000 meals will truly serve as a treat to area families as the Mahoning Valley’s holiday season kicks off with the Carving Out Hunger program.

Join us Thursday, November 7, 2013 at 10 a.m. as we kick off Carving Out Hunger, Charter One’s annual program to raise awareness of hunger and to provide holiday meals to local families in need. This year, Charter One’s Carving Out Hunger program will provide $10,000 to the Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley, which will pay for more than 1,400 chickens – nearly 5 tons of food.
