The Youngstown Foundation Awards Grant to Second Harvest Food Bank

The Youngstown Foundation has awarded Second Harvest Food Bank a $10,000 grant toward a capital improvement project that will help update the Food Bank’s food ordering and tracking system.

“This will help to ensure that the Food Bank can distribute food more food more efficiently to hungry families in our community,” said Mike Iberis, executive director of the Food Bank.  “We greatly appreciate the support of The Youngstown Foundation in our efforts to feed those in need in our community.”

The Food Bank's mission is to solicit, store, and distribute food to hunger-relief organizations in Columbiana, Mahoning, and Trumbull counties; and to provide education and advocacy.
