The Youngstown Area Community Concert Band and Stambaugh Chorus will host the 4th annual Holiday Concert of Giving to raise money to feed hungry families in Columbiana, Mahoning and Trumbull counties on Saturday, December 6 at 7:00 p.m. at historic Stambaugh Auditorium. Admission is a cash donation to benefit Second Harvest Food Bank. Doors open at 6:20 p.m.
You can also make an additional $5.00 donation in the upper lobby to win a chance to conduct “Sleigh Ride” on stage with the Youngstown Area Community Concert Band. For every $1 given at the concert, the Food Bank can distribute $15 worth of food to families that need it most this holiday season. Other selections by the band include "Do You Hear What I Hear?" and a new arrangement of “Silent Night” called "A Winter's Night.” Some of the music performed by the Stambaugh Chorus will be "Three Holiday Songs" from the motion picture Home Alone and "The Twelve Days of Christmas.”
“We are thrilled that these two incredible groups have decided to collaborate for the fourth year in a row for this great holiday performance to help feed people in our community,” said Michael Iberis, executive director, Second Harvest Food Bank. “Admission is a cash donation of any amount, and we invite the entire community to join us and enjoy an evening filled with great local holiday music. Over the past three years, this concert has raised nearly $10,000 to feed our hungry friends and neighbors.”
