Through November 10, Walgreens stores in Mahoning and Trumbull Counties will be participating in Check Out Hunger, a component of Harvest for Hunger campaign. Customers are able to make a $1, $5 or $10 donation at the register.
“We greatly appreciate Walgreens’ participation in Harvest for Hunger this year,” said Mike Iberis, executive director of the Food Bank. “Their efforts at 14 locations in Mahoning and Trumbull counties will help feed many hungry families in our community.” In 2017, Walgreens stores in the Mahoning Valley raised $13,299 through the Harvest for Hunger campaign, which enabled the Food Bank to provide 79,794 meals to hungry families in our community.
