Food Bank Kicks Off 30th Annual Harvest for Hunger Campaign

Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley has kicked off its 30th annual Harvest for Hunger campaign, which is a food and funds drive that takes place during February, March and April to help stock the food bank shelves for the spring and summer months. Anyone interested in participating in the campaign by conducting a food and / or funds drive to benefit the food bank should call Julia at 330-792-5522, ext. 102, or download a registration form. You can also participate by donating $1, $5, or $10 at the register through April 3 at Giant Eagle stores and participating Sparkle Markets.

All funds raised and food collected remains in Columbiana, Mahoning and Trumbull counties to help feed local residents. Last year, Harvest for Hunger raised $206,215 and collected more than 13,000 pounds of food. In 2020, the food bank distributed more than 15.6 million pounds of food.
