Healthy Choices Start Here

Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley recognizes that access to nutritious food is an important part of building a healthier community.

Through Food as Medicine, a national initiative of Feeding America, Second Harvest works to connect neighbors with information, resources and practical tools that can help make healthy eating a little easier.

Healthy food doesn’t have to be complicated or expensive. Small choices can make a difference.

Access to Healthy Foods: Nutritious Food for the Community

Everyone deserves access to nutritious food. Second Harvest works with its network of food pantries, programs and community partners to help make healthy food available to neighbors throughout the Mahoning Valley.

Nutrition Education: Learn. Make Healthy Choices. Feel Your Best.

Knowing what to do with the food available can make healthy eating easier. Second Harvest provides simple nutrition information, tips and resources designed to help individuals and families make informed choices and get the most from the food available to them.

Resources: Tools and Information for the Community

Second Harvest provides resources to help individuals and families facing food insecurity, as well as the partner agencies working every day to serve the community. From cooking videos and recipes to nutrition information, educational materials and helpful tools, Second Harvest continues to build a collection of resources that can be used and shared.
