Every action counts, so no one goes hungry

Second Harvest relies on support from individuals, corporations, and the community to fund our critical programs for children, families, and seniors in need. Whether you give funds, give food, give time or give voice — you can make an immediate impact on hunger in the Mahoning Valley.

Donate Money

Make a one-time monetary donation or a recurring monthly donation. While food drives and donations are always needed, monetary donations allow us to purchase food that is needed but not always donated such as meats and fresh produce. Your monetary donations help provide balanced meals to our community while also supporting the operations of our partner agencies and programs.

Donate Food

The food bank works with 163 food pantries and meal programs across the tri-county region to provide food to the people in our community who need it most. Donating food is as easy as bringing in a bag from your cupboards at home or coming together with a group and starting a food drive. Donations of food from community members, grocers, food distributors and farmers provide a much-needed supplement.

Start a food and funds drive

Traditional food drives help us provide a variety of nutritious food and miscellaneous items to our food pantries and meal programs helping seniors, children and low-income families who face hunger. Funds drives are also a way of collecting financial donations that we can use to buy the food our neighbors need most including fruits, vegetables, meat and dairy.
