What is Canstruction?
Canstruction is a competition where teams of Columbiana, Mahoning, and Trumbull County businesses, non-profits, groups, students, teachers, architects, engineers, and contractors come together to design and build structures made entirely from canned goods. These structures must be built within a 10’w x 10’d x 10’h area. It’s all for a great cause, all items will be donated back to the Food Bank to help those facing food insecurity.
The theme for 2027 will be America’s Pastime: Baseball!

Are you ready to participate? Any group is welcome and can do it! Grab your friends, coworkers, or group members and come together for a great cause! All nonperishable items used to build the structures will be donated to Second Harvest Food Bank. Below are the dates for next year’s event. March 12, 2027 – Deadline for Entry
April 9, 2027 – Build Day (9am – 9pm)
April 10, 2027 – Judging (noon)
April 11 – May 13, 2027 – Structures will be displayed
May 14, 2027 – Decanstruction
