Donate Funds

For every $1 given, the Food Bank distributes up to $10 worth of food, which is equivalent up to 5 meals, to hungry people through church pantries, homeless shelters and meal sites, shelters for battered women and after school programs in Columbiana, Mahoning and Trumbull counties. 

$1 = up to 5 meals, so even a small donation can help a person eat for a day. Your gift will immediately fight hunger in our community. Thanks to our purchasing power through bulk ordering, monetary donations go even further. While food drives and donations are always needed, monetary donations allow us to purchase food that is needed but not always donated such as meats and fresh produce.

Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, and all gifts are fully tax deductible as allowed by law. From time to time, donor names may be listed in Food Bank publications, but only after written notification is provided. It is the policy of Second Harvest Food Bank to maintain the highest level of confidentiality with respect to donor information. We will not share donor names, addresses or fund-related financial information with organizations outside of the Food Bank.
